PENANG: the streets

BLG + miss swift = Two is Better Than One. too good for your ears, check it out.

People say I shouldn't have fought with all the malays on the road during the Raya holidays. From my sharp eyesight beyong the car windows, they weren't malays after all. (oh beloved rakyats of malaysia who doesn't take holidays for granted)
Introducing the 2nd day of my PENANG ESCAPADE, oh boy swallow your saliva because this is gonna be SALIVATING.

there are a few ALL TIME MUST VISIT SHOPS that i go to everytime i'm at penang. one of which is this hard-to-remember-chinese-named shop near the famous chowrasta market.
this kopitiam-like shop is no ordinary kopitiam shop, they serve GOOD assam laksa, GOOD char kuey teow and GOOD cendol, all under one roof!
although i must admit, the laksa guy was rather rude as he brushed a valueble customer off (which happens to be my mum) with, "WAIT! must wait for taste to come out from the soup!" when asked whether he was open.

as you might remember the post i wrote about this shop my visit during the chinese new year holidays.

smacked right there, the penang style char kuay teow accompanied by lap chiongs and prawns and not forgetting the dull looking but absolutely fantastic tasting penang laksa.
YUMMEHH - better than any in KL at least.

a little fun fact about penang:
the food there is ultra cheap, almost half the price of what you pay in KL so that's why i ate both the meals as shown above for breakfast.
AH YES, waking up just to eat penang delicacies in a sweaty kopitiam enviroment is just the thing i was looking forward to at penang.

after satisfying our empty grouching but now full stomachs, i went walking around the streets of chowrasta market with my sparkling new 500D. oh, and i pulled my dad along to avoid getting kidnapped and ran over by cute little trishaws =)
aka street photography.

i won't say im ALL THAT but i can happily say, im progressing.

we happily retreated to a packet of coconut juice before venturing to the next half of the day.

which shall be revealed another day.

PHOTOGRAPHER'S NOTES:
the sun was just PUMPING its heat everywhere causing huge black shadows everywhere else. the place was rather small though, just a few rounds but i'm happy with the old man with a dog picture.
