the smokehouse, fraser's hill

christmas is less than a month away! hooray, hooray its a happy holiday! one more, HOOOOOORAY!
it means, its time for christmas presents =) oh did i mention i needed an orange bicycle?
well, mamsies and papsies are bringing me tomorrow to check out some.. ORANGE BICYCLES!

back to my fraser's hill post, its time for some yummy yum yum! also known as food, or rather, dinner.

with the smelly skanky smell of those ping pong bats despite washing our hands a million times, we sped off to the town of fraser's hill.
at 7pm, it was pretty dead alrite. the only thing that caught our attention was - a police station.
so the 3 of us happily boppidy went up to the policeman with our stupid faces and touristy lingo.
"escuse me ah, got map?" too bad he didn't have one but at least he showed us where to get one.
he pointed across the street where the TOURIST INFORMATION CENTER was. we said our wierd accented bye byes to the police man and raced towards the center.
oh boy, who knew it would have been so refreshing running in the midst of a mist.

after a whole lot of wrong turns at the roundabout and my mom nagging that it was too far and dangerous driving in the fog...
we finally made it there =) ah, brings me back to when i last came here last year, checking the place out but not eating.

but don't worry ladies and gentlemen, we ate here this time.

the moment we stepped into this smokehouse, it felt as if we were in a different country.
there were so many waiters serving us and the captain guided us into a lounge, just to order.
wow, i've never ordered my dinner in a lounge before, it was always at the dinner table.

opening the menu, oh my. prices go from RM50 to RM100 for a meal.
needless to say, we didn't even bother with the beverages, just plain water will do.
thinking that their serving would be sorta big for the price we paid, we ordered one less meal.

his supposed to be the pimp

the place was furnished extremely well with sofas that look imported from a western country.
the walls were furnished with hand painted plates and vintage looking photographs and paintings.
everything in there was just so WESTERN-Y, not like any place i've been into before.

while waiting for our food, we walked around the whole place taking pictures like tourists. after all, we're really tourists!
posing here, there, everywhere!
every room had its own theme and colour combination thingy going on.

hehe, not to forget, there were even some uber cool lights there.
like the dragonball KAMEHAMEHA energy sucking lookalike ball.
and vintage looking lights hanging from above.

they even had an outdoor porch.
and if it wasn't for the mist that wet the grass and the swings, we would have done so much other crap.
but needless to say, the garden was also furnished well with plants and swings and froggy ornaments.
with the fog there, it looked almost surreal.

a moment later, we were called to the dining area as the food was prepared.
we were served with buns and little cubes of butter and an extremely not-worth-the-money-payed bowl of mushroom soup.
soon came our main courses. i ordered a lamb shank because lamb shanks rock, this one wasn't bad either. they used some tomato based sauce, something like bolognese =)
my dad had a steak, mamsies had a seafood risotto, pauline had a pasta and yee hern had our leftovers. poor boy, but we did our best to fill his plate =)

pauline tried so hard to be taller than us. sigh.

i'll say something about the food. the bill amounted to sky high rocketing prices and my tummy wasn't full yet.
sorta disappointing, but im guessing were paying for the enviroment and service, not the product.

out of the blue, the captain over there asked me whether i was taking photos professionally or as a hobby.
uhhhh, noone would ever think my kiddy face was talking photos professionally.

and that's all for today =)

stay tuned to what happens on day 2 of my fraser's hill trip.
byeeeeeeeeeee!
