Matthew's homecoming

all the boys and the girls, no you just can't stop =)
Pixie Lott's boys and girls = yeahhhhhh.

so if you haven't heard about it yet, matthew ong is back in malaysia from his australia migration.
with a spankin new hairstyle!

but his still the same old guy - lame but cool at the same time.

this time we hung out because matthew wanted to give us presents from the land of AUSTRALIA!
sadly, only roy and me turned up so we end up lugging all the presents including 2 giant soft toys everywhere.

since we already ate japanese with him a few days ago, this time we ate at Chilli's!
yay to bottomless chips and frequent toilet visits!

we ordered the usuals - bottomless drinks and chips because we are growing kids. we need more of everything

and because our mommies always ask us to eat veggies, we ordered salad =) salads are yummy anyway.

so it was fun catching up with matthew about everything, making fun of the waitress and some japanese talking with matthew =)

who knew he would have been so japanese anime addicted after going to australia.

after paying for the bill at Chilli's we were sorta ALMOST but not yet moneyless.
walking around mid valley aimlessly and sitting on those balls staring at the new fountain was pretty dumb.
till we decided to buy some malaysian delicacies because matthew was craving for something HOT.
bungkus Laksa Shack's otak-otak and asam laksa =D

we took a 14ringgit ride from midvalley all the way to 1utama to eat our food in a cyber cafe.
so after an hour of LEFT4DEAD shooting zombies and each other, we unpacked our FOOOOOOOD!
roy was totally uninterested in our food eating frenzy. oh gosh, who could resist asam laksa and otak-otak.

GOSH. he even drank the finish the soup.

then it was time to buy 12am NEW MOON tickets =) awww.
and by the time we bought the tickets, it was already 11, the shops were all closed =(

hence, we made a "supposed to be scary but totally not scary" short movie in 1utama with the lights off and empty. spooooooky!
until some security guards came and shooed us off =(
i'll post the short movie later.

and a quick dash to a mini market to buy TWIGGIES, TWISTIES and a huge 1 liter bottle of 100PLUS, it was time for NEW MOOOOOON! howlllll!
WILL YOU MARRY ME? what a sucky ending, makes you wanna watch the next movie.

matthew's 100ringgit anime pillow and soft toys!

after touching down at roy's house, we were still playing with matthew's gift to him - a lightning ball!

freaking cool but freaking electrical at the same time!

and this was the story of how we slept at 4am with the same disgusting clothes.
and end up wearing the same disgusting clothes to church the next day =)

good things are things off-camera =)

gah, school camp. see you in 5 days =)
oh did i mention, i got myself an orange bicycle?? =D

the smokehouse, fraser's hill

christmas is less than a month away! hooray, hooray its a happy holiday! one more, HOOOOOORAY!
it means, its time for christmas presents =) oh did i mention i needed an orange bicycle?
well, mamsies and papsies are bringing me tomorrow to check out some.. ORANGE BICYCLES!

back to my fraser's hill post, its time for some yummy yum yum! also known as food, or rather, dinner.

with the smelly skanky smell of those ping pong bats despite washing our hands a million times, we sped off to the town of fraser's hill.
at 7pm, it was pretty dead alrite. the only thing that caught our attention was - a police station.
so the 3 of us happily boppidy went up to the policeman with our stupid faces and touristy lingo.
"escuse me ah, got map?" too bad he didn't have one but at least he showed us where to get one.
he pointed across the street where the TOURIST INFORMATION CENTER was. we said our wierd accented bye byes to the police man and raced towards the center.
oh boy, who knew it would have been so refreshing running in the midst of a mist.

after a whole lot of wrong turns at the roundabout and my mom nagging that it was too far and dangerous driving in the fog...
we finally made it there =) ah, brings me back to when i last came here last year, checking the place out but not eating.

but don't worry ladies and gentlemen, we ate here this time.

the moment we stepped into this smokehouse, it felt as if we were in a different country.
there were so many waiters serving us and the captain guided us into a lounge, just to order.
wow, i've never ordered my dinner in a lounge before, it was always at the dinner table.

opening the menu, oh my. prices go from RM50 to RM100 for a meal.
needless to say, we didn't even bother with the beverages, just plain water will do.
thinking that their serving would be sorta big for the price we paid, we ordered one less meal.

his supposed to be the pimp

the place was furnished extremely well with sofas that look imported from a western country.
the walls were furnished with hand painted plates and vintage looking photographs and paintings.
everything in there was just so WESTERN-Y, not like any place i've been into before.

while waiting for our food, we walked around the whole place taking pictures like tourists. after all, we're really tourists!
posing here, there, everywhere!
every room had its own theme and colour combination thingy going on.

hehe, not to forget, there were even some uber cool lights there.
like the dragonball KAMEHAMEHA energy sucking lookalike ball.
and vintage looking lights hanging from above.

they even had an outdoor porch.
and if it wasn't for the mist that wet the grass and the swings, we would have done so much other crap.
but needless to say, the garden was also furnished well with plants and swings and froggy ornaments.
with the fog there, it looked almost surreal.

a moment later, we were called to the dining area as the food was prepared.
we were served with buns and little cubes of butter and an extremely not-worth-the-money-payed bowl of mushroom soup.
soon came our main courses. i ordered a lamb shank because lamb shanks rock, this one wasn't bad either. they used some tomato based sauce, something like bolognese =)
my dad had a steak, mamsies had a seafood risotto, pauline had a pasta and yee hern had our leftovers. poor boy, but we did our best to fill his plate =)

pauline tried so hard to be taller than us. sigh.

i'll say something about the food. the bill amounted to sky high rocketing prices and my tummy wasn't full yet.
sorta disappointing, but im guessing were paying for the enviroment and service, not the product.

out of the blue, the captain over there asked me whether i was taking photos professionally or as a hobby.
uhhhh, noone would ever think my kiddy face was talking photos professionally.

and that's all for today =)

stay tuned to what happens on day 2 of my fraser's hill trip.
byeeeeeeeeeee!

to all hor sue anns out there.

happy birthday!

because my sister is the only hor sue ann i know.

so i made her birthday card on a chicken rice material spongy white thing because i thought it looked cool.
it turned out sorta pretty but ewwy at the same time, you know me and cards, we will never get along well.
but i shall say, i am satisfied.

heck, its so sweet, its double sided and all poem-ed up!

roses are red indeed.
and for her birthday present, if you haven't guessed it yet.
i bought her a plant of red-dy pink-ish roses from the nursery in my neighbourhood.

check it out!

to ensure the receiver loves their presents, i have this philosophy on how to choose presents.
if he or she is a related to me, there must be something in common that we share.
i buy whatever i would buy for myself, chances are if i love it, they love it toooooo!

back to my rosy story, im totally envious that my sister's room has this porch on her window ledges.
not only that, the sun shines directly on her plants! talk about good feng shui =) ahhahaha.

but sometimes, that clever philosophy of mine backfires because my heart is too heavy to give the present away.
but sometimes too, my brain clicks into clever mode and buys another plant for myself because i know i'll be heavy hearted.

this time, its a non-flowering plant! and i dont even know the name of it.

but the true reason i bought it is because, i get to trim it however i want to!
round ball shape, heart shape, christmas tree shape, cross shape. HECK YEAHHHH, possibilities are endless!
so plant, please grow big and bushy so i can snip you off into something cool =D

just a flower count on how my rose plant is doing..
all 6 of the previous roses that came with the plant has dried up and withered. oh REST IN PEACE!
currently, there are 2 red and blooming ones.
but the good thing is, i think there are about 4 small buds that are gonna erupt into a BEAUTIFUL ROSE!
hey, i think im not bad of a gardener after all =)

to spark my house planting interest, or more of my laziness, i bought this gizmo that waters the plant itself.
lo and behold the AQUA GLOBE!

somehow the roses take up all the water and that leafy plant soaks it up super slow.
urgh, why cant both of them be good plants and listen to what i friggin order them to do.

but if theres one wish i could do to those plants. it would be..
SCREAM IF I FORGOT TO WATER YOU and CRY LOUD IF I OVER WATERED YOU.

but thanks ladies and gentlemen, you've made it through my whole plant story.
have a nice day =)

ps: i no longer write an entire post of how i love you and whatnot on your bday. i think blogs are underrated =) so eyeball to eyeball, mouth to mouth is the way to go!
psps: NEW MOOOOOOOOON! howllllllllllllllll! =D

menaiki bukit fraser

BOOMS. just a quickie. im feeling subways or ramlees. i got ayam special =)

i'll try my best to relive the memories, so dont pop me in the head if anything goes wrong. because it would.

13 NOVEMBER 2009 - up, up fraser's hill.
humans: papsies, leeyeehern, a girl named pauline, sexymisshor, mamsies.

it was a friday. it also was interhouse games at my school.
pauline had her "important" badminton match to show off, get first and emberass her opponents.
i and yee hern had our bible knowledge quiz.
but both of us being wussies decided to just call it a day and absolutely skip the bible knowledge quiz - fear of emberassment for the lack of studying.

but all those activities aren't gonna stop us from taking the fresh drive up fraser's hill.
oh gawshh, who in the world doesn't love fresh cold air and green looking mountains.

i think we look like one heck of a braces family. ahh, vainpots!

but the ride there got pretty boring somehow. and so we camwhored and had our stupid moments in the backseat of a car.
oooh, backseat, sounds so scandalous.

but halfway, my dad kinda lost his way to fraser's hill and we end up asking this security guard for directions.
a girl named pauline exclaimed "lets wave to that guy!"
already being abit outta our minds, the three of us waved like monkeys.
that guy must be thinking, what a wierd family with 3 kids that don't look alike, apart from their braces.

on the way to THE GAP (a narrow one way road up fraser's hill) the surrounding temperature got colder.
and so we wind down our windows and let the cold breeze blow us away =)

we even played a SPOT THE MONKEY game. however, our kiasu-ness destroyed the game.
none of us wanted to admit the other person finding a monkey making all our scores a pathetic 0.
heck, we even saw wild boars =D huhuhuhuhu!

after a few wrong turns here and there, we finally got to our penthouse or so i should call it.
it was actually a two-floored room on the highest floor of PINES RESORT.
the place was average looking and fully carpeted, reasonable for the price we paid.
1 spiral stairs, 2 balconies, 3 rooms, 9 people and it has an electric heater!

after throwing our luggages on the floor and choosing our rooms, its time for outdoor activities!

but too bad it was too misty and crappy and whatnot, we just decided on indoor games.

they only had carom and pingpong and they weren't even well maintained.
c'mon, the carom peices weren't even from the same set. wooden and plastic, they dont match. moreover, the sides of the peices were chipped off. urgh.
oh the ping pong equipments were worst. the bats smelled like someone has been farting on it all day long.
the place itself was a horrible disaster - they recycled a squash court to fit a ping pong table.
just like the ones in my school teeheee.

but the game of carom itself suckssss. probably because i suck in it =)

the face of someone losing, awww.

in the midst of our playing, some SULTAN ABDUL SAMAD school kids came and went hunting for orange stickers.
and soonafter, we even bumped into joshua choong the dude that currently studies in that school.
he even pretended to not know us by staring at the floor. omg what a loser.

a teaser for tomorrow.
would you take a wild guess where we had dinner?

starhill gallery camhos!

"bola daging!" just another word you'd hear until i get bored of it.

this whole post is devoted to my one and only sister and her non-stop huge massive bag of poses learnt from her monthly subscription of FEMALE.
nawww, you know im just kidding rite?

just a short introduction about her and her fabulosity.
her kindness is named Hor Sue Ann, is 19 years old this THURSDAY (darnit, wish her lah), likes to play dress up with herself, is an interior designer wannabe and she really wants an LV bag.
so all you people who find her adorable, you know what to get her =)

all pictures are taken at starhill gallery.

you enter a SPEEDY and walk past through the hundreds of CDs laid on the racks.
suddenly, you see some sexy juicy lips on the cover of a fresh new album.
BAM! you go and buy it. now that was my vision with the picture above.
sorry, album is still in production and would most likely not be produced. insufficient funds.

it was totally HER idea.

later, it was time for some window shopping as most of the shops were already closed so all there was to do was look at the products on display.
oh and camwhore too =)

to show her love for louis vuitton, she even posed in with it in the background. cmon, cmon, open your eyes a lil bit bigger and you might just spot it!

just one last one before i go,
i know shes gonna kill me for posting this up but..
HAVE A GOOD 19TH YEAR OF LIFE!

bye bola dagings.
argh, im so tired. its time i get an orange bicycle for myself =)

JOGOYA yum.

ah, today was definitely fun. meeting someone you havent met in a long long time, ahh.
especially if that dude is someone so crazy and dumb =) just like me.
sorreh no pictures, sometimes its just more fun hanging with friends than with a camera.

but here i present to you PICTURES from yesterday's dinner buffet at jogoya.

to commemorate or so call celebrate my sister's 19th year of living on the face of this earth, it is sorta a family tradition, a new one actually, to go out and eat scrumptious food.
no, scrumptious isn't the word, it's more of expensive and luxurious to the mouth and the wallet.
sometimes, i don't believe in spending money on overrated food. if the simple pleasures of life like a roti planta for 80 sens can satisfy our hunger (healthy or unhealthy) i think it is sufficient in doing the job - to fill our stomachs.

however, certain events in life are important and should be memorable.
thus comes those "glamour" days where we get to go on a cash blurting spree.

this time my sister chose the place - JOGOYA. you know the one at starhill gallery?
haaa yes. the expensive penuh glamour one.

family shot at the garden. darnit, i forgot camera was on manual focus. woooops.

and let's just say its my first time there.

at first i thought it was just a small little corner of fresh seafood and japanese cuisine, before i went deeper and deeper into the huge restaurant and actually got lost in a food maze.

look left, cheese escargots, look right, desserts, look straight, oh shit more food?
my gosh, i was like a little small girl lost in my own world of nothing but FOOD.

like all first timers, its just grab this, grab that, fill the plate, take as much as you can and who cares if you can't finish it.
i got the ball rolling with the shark's fin and the fresh rock oysters. heck, i've never seen huger rock oysters before.
i wouldn't say they were all fresh out of the water, there were some in the bunch which looked rather ewwwy and food poisoning-ish but use your five senses and you will get through the day without befriending your toilet bowl.

clockwise: cheese and biscuits, seafood steamboat, aglio olio pasta, variety of desserts, fresh rock oysters

like all things in starhill, the enviroment was classy. dark ambient lights with a few spotlights here and there. apart from the crowd walking around with plates loaded, i'd say its quite a good place to dine at.
oh one thing, our table was quite far from the food maze meaning less crowd but more walking to do.

as time passes by, we pick up more and more food such as the steamboat, some western cuisine and even ordered some pasta with our clippies.
the clippies were metal clips with our table's number imprinted on it. it is used to order food that would be sent straight to our tables by leaving those metal clippies with the chef.
cool idea. but waitaminute, whats this VIP only durian mousse cake doing on my table out of nowhere. waiters were sending wrong food to the wrong table and it happened twice during our meal. gahh, i forgive you anyway, thanks for sending food.

mamsies and papsies

the VIP only food were rather distracting. they really make you wanna have the VIP card.
those VIP food look better than the rest, but id call it a good marketing strategy.
vip cards cost over a thousand ringgit, like who the heck wants it.

like all buffets, desserts ahhhhh heavenly desserts.
haagen dazs ice-cream, pannacotta, tiramisu, waffles, mochis, fruits, cakes, kuih-muih, caramel thingyy.
darn, now i regretted eating so much earlier on.

a cuppa red wine =)

after a whole lot of stuffing our stomachs, it was time for some camwhoring.
but with my sister around and all dressed up, a little camwhoring instantaneously turns into one heck of a camwhoring session.
mannnnn, i think the people at the neighbouring tables were giggling at us. teeheeee.

family group shot =D

however, all good things have to come to an end.
it was time to leave.
would i ever come back again? yeah sure, like once in 5 years.
unless, they do some eye popping discount impossible to resist =)

uber cool disco balls hanging around starhill

camwhore pictures tomorrow ladies and gentlemen. for now, goodnite and have a nice day.

peace out, ladies and gentlemen

i'm a happy girl

and so i've got the blogging mojo back. or actually, more of the TIME to do my blogging mojo.
i know how holidays are supposed to be useful for bumming around and doing whatever we want to do, holidays for me are just busier than the everyday havocness.

but thankfully, today was an exception.

ahh, toblerone. swiss white chocolate with honey and almond nougat.
it's more of like a traditional thing. every holiday season i get to buy a toblerone and gobble it up for myself.
i know its not as pricy as other chocolates but my mommy's "MONEY DONT GROW ON TREES" quote has just been dangling in my brains since forever.

next to do in my list: read this month's issue of KLUE.
ok, time to admit, i actually do like to read klue and all those party hopping stuff in it because i find it rather interesting, somehow. oh not to forget, the food section, GAHHHHHHH mouth watering =)
but you know, its nice to have something new to read on my to do list. i dont usually read a whole mag at once because i have that fear of having nothing new to read. you know magazines only comes out once a month right???

so good tidbit coupled with a good magazine. whats next?
some good music of course =) back to my usual youtubing for the next IT thing.
songs vary from 3oh3's new whistling song to wierd unknown punk rock bands to cool songs from tap tap revenge (not that im not sick of it already).

but there you go, a recipe for all-things-good on a lazy sunday afternoon.

oh whoopies, its my sister's last birthday as a 1-something this thursday =)
so the family gets to go for a real treat at jogoya.
another confession to make, i never went to jogoya before, buffets are just plain expensive, its like eating cold hard cash.

hopefully a post with pictures tomorrow, thats if im free =,=

Interhouse Games 09

after days and days of not updating my blog..

this is it!
produced by the one, the only HOR SUE XIAN aka ABSOLUTsusu productions.
2 days of recording and hours of compiling, the long wait is finally over.

I present to you, INTERHOUSE GAMES VIDEO!

you must be thinking, why only 3 games? because i was having fun with friends, not with a camera.

this year's interhouse games was a tad different than any other year's.
2 new games were introduced - girls basketball and volleyball, thus my involvement in the whole event.

i'd like to say interhouse games isnt just about the games or the sports.
it was the fellowship cheering for your own team despite not knowing the players nor the people your cheering with. it was about meeting new people and making new friends. it was also the time to catch up with some old mates you haven't talked to in a whilee.

and obviously for some sports minded people, it was time to show off.

personally, it was also my last chance to participate and hopefully get my first freaking sports medal.
(oh, didnt you know i used to never touch a ball?)

for this year's interhouse games, i was in charge of registering members for blue house =)
usually, i'd be too lazy to give a banana about paperwork but y'know CO-CAPTAIN OF THE BLUE HOUSE next year is an extra title i could be proud of =)
but anyway getting to know those juniors i never talked to before was quite fun =)

me being me - the loser with the brains registered myself for games im capable of winning hahahaha.
but me and samantha kirby my secretary made a deal - if i want her in my basketball team, i had to play netball for her. RAWR
boys and girls, netball was the reason i stopped being sportilicious in secondary school. i think its a monkey game.

BASKETBALL, PING PONG, NETBALL. and so it was.
throughout the whole week, it was just fun cheering and encouraging each other.
mind you, i promised myself i was off-duty for photographing. but who knew i went to do videography instead.

cut the whole story short, i never played sports so hard before.
heck, my whole body aches from head to toe and it has gotta be an experience of a lifetime =)
but a whole lot of 100plus, blood, scars and sweat later, i come back with 2 gold medals =)
awwwwww, i think i should hug myself.

now all that is left to do is, sit back, lie down and relax with my bigger than ever muscles throughout the holidays =)

CHEERS everyone and have a happy holiday =D

like sue xian says, "HIGH SCHOOL IS THE BEST TIME OF OUR LIVES - so freaking enjoy it."

officially not a sports winner virgin

OOOOOMPA LOOOOOOOOMPA!
ive never felt any shittier good ever, in a good way of course =) agh, the sweat.
its my first time getting any 1st in something sports related =D oh yeahhhhh!
so let me just enjoy it, you know firsts are always the best =D

thank you to all you lovable team members, yong teng, samantha, carmen, chia ee and hao fah! all of you deserve hugs and kisses on your sweaty faces =)

but most importantly, thank GOD! =) nothing would have been possible without GOD =D

oh and if you still dont get it..

BLUE HOUSE FUDGING WON BASKETBALL FOR GIRLS.
and someone happens to be the captain =)

along the way, i might have screamed at your faces, stepped on your shoes, gave you an eyeballed face or even pushed you or worst, got mad at you.
im sorry =) but its just a game aight.
LIKE SUE XIAN SAYS IT "lets not let a stupid game ruin our relationship"

peace out =) til further notice, i declare myself off duty for interhouse games.
its my last year and i think i should take time to enjoy it with people i love rather than photos =)

pauline's parents called and then yeehern's parents called and then my mom barged in =.=
truly emberassing. but enjoy =)

taken right after our fraser's hill kafoosha!

steamboatlicious

wooooohoooohooooohoooooooo! guess whose back??
awww, no more head-sticking-outta-window, cold-air-blowing-in-your-face, looking-like-a-dog-opening-mouth action for a very very very long time.
i really do wish we were there longer, sigh.

but anyway, i have tons of pending posts to deliver to you so heads up and absorb all the news im throwing at ya.

today's magical topic is STEAMBOAT PARTY at jhi yong's house =)
just a small get together, probably for the sub-science class but ah, the 3 noobfaced muskateers got invited anyway.
and by meaning the 3 noobfaced muskateers, i mean me, the girl named pauline and lee yee hern.

nothing much to report about so imma talk about the food.
ah steamboat, there were 2 pots, tomyam-ish soup and clear soup for those noobies who dont know how to eat panas.
everything from the clear soup for noobies got scooped up so fast, i only ate the tomyam-ish one but who cares im a freak who eats anything nice =)

after our steamboat dinner, we decided to head to the playground despite it being all wet and drizzly.

and lucky for these 2 emilies and nikoles, they had an umbrella.

just some camho pictures with the extremely huge mirror in the kitchen.

you know me and mirrors - the chance to have a nice picture of me taken with my camera =) hahahhah.
what an insult.

and that concludes this post.
like i said, a simple get together =)
psst: thanks for the steamboat ayy!
