This is a true story about maids / kakaks / pembantu rumah.
Everyday:
I run naked to my room because I'm so used to having my maid hang my towel in my toilet.
I run down to the laundry area with a towel because I'm so used to having my maid arrange my clothes in my wardrobe.
I lazily prepare / microwave my own food after school because I'm so used to having food prepared on the table the instance I come back.
I moan when I wash my plates because I'm so used to leaving my plates on the table and my maid doing the dishes.
It's only the second week ever since my maid went for a break back at her hometown.
There's two things I learnt the cold hard way.
#1: BE INDEPENDANT lah for goodness sake.
#2: APPRECIATE YOUR MAIDS!
as much as they work for your money, they're not slaves.
During devotion today when mr G shared about how he gave away his bicycle to his gardener when he was a kid, I think GOD challenged me to do something good to my current temporary maid.
With that said, I cycled to the nearest 7 eleven and bought her a can of 100 plus. The gratitude on her face was so heartwarming, I couldn't care less about the tiring day I had in school or the money I could have used to buy myself a drink.
