But when the surrounding messiness hits a certain level, I turn into a perfectionistic neat freak.
SPM came and gone, like a whirlwind that swept my room into a "rubbish dump" as my mom would call it.
Few days ago, I decided to have my once in 5 years spring cleaning. True enough, I found a couple of books from my lower secondary years. Geez.

Then it hit me.
If I'm just one out of the 500,000 SPM takers this year, then all the trash I have collected for the past 5 years would be equivalent to of what the other SPM-takers would collect too.
The picture up there shows only my trash. Multiply that by 500,000 and you get all the SPM trash for one year. What about next year? Or the following year? I say, we are becoming one heck of a trashing society.
It's exactly what the producing companies want us to be anyway.
We buy. We might or might not use it. We throw.

So, please if I may ask you, recycle your books.
Give it to your younger siblings or a distant relative or drop them off at school for a lucky passer-by. You're killing two birds with a stone anyway, you save mother earth and you save money. On top of that, you would feel darn good about yourself =)
Hey, if everyone does nothing, the world is still going to end up in global warming, burning our butts off so hot, that in 50 years down the road, I think we would need sunglasses indoors.
I'm glad I found a recipient to inherit my reusable trash.

These are my leftovers, which I think no one out there would want to want them.
Right now, my room is in it's cleanest state ever.

About the holidays, I think I need to do more significant things, more than just going out and about town 'lepaking', I should do more extreme things, living on the edge of life sorta stuff. Got a couple of ideas up my sleeves but due to the christmas season, they're on hold at the moment.
But rest assured, crazier stuff coming up!
Till then, Happy Holidays!
