Kuala Kubu Bharu.

It took us an hour to get there, four and a half to get back.

A couple of us from FGA went over to Kuala Kubu Bharu aka KKB (erhemm, are you thinking what im thinking?) to sort of run the church service for the National Service trainees over there.
We did praise & worship, a sermon and played a game of charades with them.

If only I wasn't feeling so constipated and all morning doozy I'd probably go mingle more, get a few numbers and befacebook em. Sigh, my bad.

But what happened later, was the real adventure.

The van broke down, in the middle of nowhere between Rawang and KKB.

I do what I do best lah, turning shit into gold. I actually wished I brought a red checkered mat and a big picnic basket =)

Oh, and I just peed in a longkang behind some bushes, the last time I did that was when I was seven, hahahha the old times.

We had our very own karaoke session in the van and waited like hippies for a bus to run along and hopefully pick us up to wherever we can go.

Indeed, an hour or so later, we managed to flag an out of town bus. The ride was so bumpy and the seats were squeaking so loud. What amused be was how the bus stopped at small little 'perhentian-s' that looked like a shade made out of wood with a hanging plank of wood stating its location. Just like the wild wild west, yo!
Oh and the bus tickets were cute! Okay lah sorry jakun here, never sat an out of town bus before.

The thirty minute bus ride brought us to the nearest KTM station, Rawang. By that time, things were more civilized, but still ulu in a way lah. We ber-gossiped throughout the whole KTM ride back to true civilization, Mid Valley! Way to go me for enduring 10 stations of incoming uncles and outgoing aunties.

Cheers to a very, very adventurous 8 hours of my lifetime.

Inky & Pinky

Once upon a time, there was a yellow 270 degree circle who had no resemblance towards a man but is somehow called PACMAN. Once upon another time, there were 4 ghosts after him, but two of them were extremely lousy and so I excluded them from this very interesting introductory paragraph. The other two were PINKY, because it was pink and INKY because it wasn't pink.

Once upon a third time, the two ghosts ate sugar, spice, everything nice and a little "chemical X" from planet Krypton.

BOOM, BAM, ALAKAZAM!

and that's the superhero childhood tragic story of SUPER PINKY and SUPER INKY.

Everything I just wrote has been stolen from the garbage bin and shall not be used against me in court.

It was Superhero Sunday last weekend at church =) My superhero partner in saving the world Ainsley Yap aka owner of SUPER PINKY came over to my house to do some research on superheroes.
Unfortunately both our wardrobes are pretty pathetic and could not support our real superhero duos such as Super Mario & Princess Peach, Superbaby & Supergrandma and whole lot of other skin-tight and ultra revealing superheros.

So, we decided to construct our costumes instead of recycling them from our wardrobes.
With some inspiration from the almighty world wide web, TADAH!

I'd like to thank Ainsley Yap for the dropping eyeballs and for hand sewing my cape HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Here are some BehindTheScenes to embarrass myself. This shall not be used against my reputation, thank you.

B for Bao Bei

To baobei Lee Yee Hern, the lala I've knowned for 5 years, happy birthday.

Because its nobody, nobody but you =)
Hope you had fun laughing your butt off the banana's version of ju ni xen re kuai le and judging our very impromptu Wonder Girls dance-off.
Oh, and the eeniemeenie//nothinonyou//billionaire//baby//idontwannamissathing//beatbox medley dedicated to you.

I wanted to write an eight hundred word essay for you, but it is rather unfortunate that SPM trials is a week away, so I'd save my words for my English essay, but you know I love you, hugs and kisses.

All pictures taken by Roy Ho, because I was just too darn lazy eating my pan mee.

14th National SPM BK Quiz 2010

First of all, congratulations to those who placed Top 10 in the BK10 written quiz. You all deserve claps, because I have never won one of those awards myself. CLAPs.

I thought it would be good to write an orderly account for you.

National SPM BK Quiz is a yearly event comprising of 500 students from all over Malaysia sitting for the BK10 written quiz or the oral quiz. This year, Sri Sempurna sent out 61 students for the written quiz and 5 pairs for the oral quiz.

Here's a more personal lowdown, in a much compacted, less beefier version.

This year was rather different. The school put a cap on the number of participants for the Oral quiz, because the qualifying round was on the same day as Entrepreneur's day.
I barely made the cut to represent my school.

Being the defending champions of this BK quiz for 3 years, the form 5 pairs had a lot on our backs. There was just so much pressure from everyone, the teachers, the school, the ex-students, the current students and parents.

5 pairs were Roy and Faith, Abel and Chin, Nikole and me.

It has been a heck of a fun time training with you pals. From shouting out verses to acting ridiculous at the canteen. All of us brought our own share of flavor to the table.
I want to thank Roy for organizing all the training sessions and preparing so much for us, Faith for taking that step of faith in sleepover-ing my house, Abel for having that calm-like aura in the midst of all craziness, Chin for letting us make fun of you and your BB faithfulness, Nikole for being you - slow and of course, the best partner I could have in the world =)

Our school did well in the qualifying rounds and the speed round. All 5 teams made it to the semi-finals and that was where our biggest downfall was, context questions and probably the sheer nervousness of not having our partners by our sides to calm us down and to pep talk us.

2 teams from Sri Sempurna qualified to the finals. They are the Roith team and the Chabel team.

We didn't bring the champion's trophy back though.

Sorry.

I could go on and on about how they changed the format or how they did not accumulate our marks from the previous rounds and a million other reasons, but you know, everything happens for a reason and one day, we might just look back at this and say every mushroom cloud has its silver lining.

Thanks to mrs Gong and mr Nigel for training us.

On a less depressing note: Faith played bowling for the first time in her secondary life, just because the ball was pink.

Credits to Emily/Yen Ni for taking pictures and more importantly, returning my baby safe and sound.

5 things you don't know about me.

4 facts, 1 lie. Take your pick.

I need a Justin Bieber haircut.
I might have an affair with my BK books.
I use the school's toilet flush as my mirror because its reflective and I'm too vain.
I love to dig my ears.
I don't shave because I think recently, the weather is cold.

Yes lah, this is a very desperate attempt in updating my blog. You just wait, ABSOLUTsusu productions coming right up =)

epidemic

It has been three long, long long long, LOOOONG weeks since I got sick.
This has been the worst epidemic that ever hit my body in my 17 years of living on planet Earth.
Indeed, it was epidemic-ly bad.

i had some nasty throat infection that came with a hit of phlegm and mucus and then followed by a drug induced gastritis.

3 weeks of floating around, disgusting herbal tea from some wierdo chinese man, barleys and sea coconuts, multiple flavored strepsils, doses of antibiotics, over 50 swallowed pills, fishball soup, anti laksa, porridge and porridge, 10 days of skipping school and some more lying around the house until i had to ask my mom, "what do i do on the computer?"

i feel like a social media outcast.
facebook seems like a million technological years ahead of me, blogging seems like i'm speaking to a wall and i still like appearing offline on msn =)

so yay to a sickness that has come and *almost* left me.
bye, i hope i don't get you again.

Time to go Superman

9 days to National BK Quiz
47 days to UPSR
61 days to PMR
110 days to SPM
133 days till high school ends.

I'm not ready for all of these to end, but then again, when am I ever ready for anything? Maybe 11.59.59 ultramiliseconds.

now, who's with me to go SUPERMAN on the world?

There's so many wars we fought
There's so many things we're not
But with what we have
I promise you that
We're marchin on
We're marchin on
