Who Am I

RULES: Write a poem with a minimum of 8 lines, each starting with I am.

I am working as a daughter, a sister and a friend
I am not getting paid, no, I will not pretend

I am a dreamer, a learner and I pray
I am going to make a difference in this world someday

I am funky, fresh and creative
I am not musically-inclined, I don't know what's an octave

I am hoping you have now got a clue
I am Sue and this is only a preview

-Hor Sue Xian, the potential poet whom Googled for rhyming words.

No, I did not do this just cause I wanted to grow up to be a poet and yes, I did this because I was forced to and yes, I had to present it in front of class and so did everyone else in my class. Not to shabby for a newbie, ayy?

Today was pretty darn inspiring. I watched 5 videos that got my brain tick tocking. Yay for brain productivity!

Steve Jobs and Oprah Winfrey at Stanford commencement.
Life lessons from 2 of the world's key figures for this current age.

the Sartorialist
He is one of the most influential fashion blogger/photographer of today.
"I didn’t grow up dreaming to be a photographer. I didn’t assist for anybody. I just started doing it… The way I do it is just the way I do it."

Present like Steve Jobs
The way powerpoint presentations should be.

Dark Side of the Lens
The story of a surfer/photographer/videographer who puts his life on the line daily, just to do what he loves.
"I never set out to become anything in particular, only to live creatively and push the scope of my experience through adventure and through passion."

MOTIVATED, check.

PS: this 500 paged psychology book is interesting. Fingers crossed on this book being my first cover to cover book read that does not involve school. Technically, it is. It's the psycho book for AUSMAT but I do not take Psychology as a subject so I am in no way obligated to read this but heck, the MIND is a funny thing.
