We're halfway through 2011. For some of them out there, we're 6 months away from the end of the world, Year 2012.
The sad thing is, I do not remember doing anything significant this year. All I've remembered of myself is I was constantly waiting for the next thing to happen - the next test, the next weekend, the next assignment deadline, the next month. I forget to get 'stuck' in the moment, just like what Justin Bieber sings about.
I am contented with my life, I sincerely am. I love my family, I love my friends, I love the things I have and I love the things I don't have. But I just want more. I don't want to breeze through my life just like how I did the past 6 months. I don't want to grow old and remember myself merely living through my teenage years. Switchfoot has got it right with the lyrics "I want more than fine, more than just okay."
"This is your life, are you who you want to be?
Is it everything you dreamed that it would be when the world was younger, and you had everything to lose?"
4 days before a new semester awaits. Time to go out there and live life.
